Wheelchair basketball is the biggest Paralympic team sport in the UK. It is a fast-paced and fast-growing sport that allows disabled and non-disabled people to compete together in its domestic leagues and competitions.

Athletics is one of the most inclusive sports in the world and the foundation of all sports, it has been part of the Olympics and Paralympics since they first began. This year over 300 para and non-para young athletes will take part in track & field events at the School Games National Finals.

Cycling BMX
BMX Supercross racing is an explosive high speed cycling sport. Eight riders compete on a dirt track with jumps & banked corners.

Cycling Road & Track
This year will see a combination of two cycling disciplines across the three days of competition. With two days of track racing at Derby Velodrome followed by a day of road racing at the Loughborough University Campus, it will be a real test of all round skills.

Hockey
Hockey returns to the School Games National Finals this time with a six team schedule, providing plenty of action over four days of competition.

Modern Pentathlon
Following a fast-paced and action-packed event in 2022, pentathlon is back! This year will see even more elements of the Olympic sport of Modern Pentathlon included. Athletes will be put to the ultimate test by competing in swimming, obstacle course racing, running, and shooting across the four days of the event.

Following a successful National School Games Finals in 2021 and 2022, netball is returning for the 2024 National Finals with some great teams competing.

Triathlon
Triathlon and Paratriathlon returned to the National Finals in 2022 and is back again in 2024. As a multi-discipline competition involving three continuous endurance sports (swimming, cycling, and running), it is a unique inclusion in the competition schedule.
