As part of the School Games National Finals, the True Athlete Project are hosting a panel discussion on the Saturday evening to talk about some of the issues involved with raising a young athlete.

Are you navigating the ups and downs of raising a young athlete? Join us for a free panel discussion on parenting athletes. Chaired by the True Athlete Project, the evening will focus on athletes and parents sharing their experiences and insights on how to support your child in the world of sport, exploring how to foster a compassionate and nurturing home environment which empowers every young athlete to thrive both on and off the field.

Members of the panel:

Clare Halsted - a retired British international fencer and former Olympian with a wealth of experience in elite sports.

Milly & Charles Kellyman - Charles is the father of Milly Kellyman, a former British Skeleton athlete and a mentor with The True Athlete Project.

Seonaid McIntosh - a distinguished Team GB shooter who benefits from the unique dynamic of being coached by her father.

Laura Gallagher - former Team GB trampoline gymnast, a coach and a mother.

Sam Parfitt - CEO and founder of The True Athlete Project.
